[SDG's and You] What Human Need Should Be A Human Right?
In my Humanities class, we have been talking about human needs and access to those human needs. We learned about Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, Physiological, Safety, Love and Belonging, Esteem, and Self-actualization, and how you have to have one level to reach the next. We then talked about access to needs. We made meals for a food pantry near us, too show that some people don't have access even to the basic human need for food. Then, we went around our neighborhoods taking pictures of grocery stores, clothing stores, transportation, and other things we need, reflected on how close everything is to each other in the city. We then started learning about human rights and thinking about how a lot of human needs are not human rights. That prompted this blog where I will be arguing that water should be a human right.
